About WNIA - West Norfolk Islamic Association
WNIA - West Norfolk Islamic Association was established over 20 years ago it is the first recognized Islamic Association in West Norfolk.
This was accomplished with the efforts by few of original Muslim families who settled in Kings Lynn. Founders were Br. Abdul Karim (may Allah Swt be pleased with Him) and brother Hameed Malik (may Allah Swt reward them in this world and in the hereafter).
Kings Lynn is the main town in West Norfolk with about 80 Muslim families from different ethnic backgrounds. The West Norfolk Islamic Association is a registered charity (Charity No. 803651). Islamic activities (including prayers, social and educational gatherings) were previously held at different sites. Our need for a community centre had become increasingly apparent due to the growing Muslim population in the area and our desire to fulfil our duty as Muslims. By the grace of Allah SWT we were able to create an ideal functional space to accommodate from this.
